Children of the Light, Inc. is  a nonprofit organization based out of Southeast, Washington, D.C.  The organization’s Founder and Executive Director, Monique’ Jackson, has been preparing for the organization’s operation since approximately 2000 and continues to identify needs that plague underpriveleged communities, while creating programs to meet the needs of the community.

Children of the Light, Inc. operates a Life Skills Workshop Program designed to teach life skills to adolescents and youth in the inner city.  The organization also operates a Summer Excursion Program that aims to be the first program that the Center will operate once it begins to provide services to the community.  The Center also plans to operate a Foster Care Mentoring Program to assist children who are aging out of the foster care system and a Teen/Young Parenting program designed to provide guidance and parenting skills to young parents.
